GOD AWAITS OUR SMILE - DIO ATTENDE IL NOSTRO SORRISO
"WELL, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT ...
ENTER THOU INTO THE JOY OF YOUR
MASTER"
(Mt 25: 21,23).
The smile of a creature privileged in the whole universe.
The smile of a creature born anew.
The smile of a sick child.
The smile of a sheep half dead.
The smile of an old friend, reborn in pain.
The smile of who hungers and thirsts for justice.
The smile of someone who despairs.
The smile of a shipwrecked sailor who sees the port of salvation.
The smile of him who thanks, who praises, who implores, who would want to sing perhaps with the last breath, "Lord, thou knowest that I love thee." (Jn 21:15)
The smile of someone who listens, who now desires nothing more than to see the Father smile from Heaven:
“My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes keep to my ways.”
(Pro 23:26).
DIO ATTENDE IL NOSTRO SORRISO!
"BENE, SERVO BUONO E FEDELE ...;
PRENDI PARTE
ALLA GIOIA DEL TUO PADRONE" (Mt 25, 21.23).
è il sorriso di una creatura privilegiata su tutto l'universo.
è il sorriso di una creatura rifatta a nuovo nella filiazione adottiva.
è il sorriso di un figlio ammalato.
è il sorriso di una pecorella mezzo morto.
è il sorriso di un vecchio amico, rinata nel dolore.
è il sorriso di che ha fame e sete di giustizia.
è il sorriso di chi di tutti dispera, meno che di lui.
è il sorriso del naufrago che intravede il porto della Salvezza.
è il sorriso di chi ringrazia, di chi loda, di chi implora, di che vorebbe cantare magari con l'ultimo fiato: "Signore, tu lo sai che ti voglio bene". (Gv 21,15)
è il sorriso di chi sta in ascolto, di chi null'altro ormai brama che di vedere il Padre sorridere dal Cielo: "Fa' bene attenzione a me, figlio mio". (Pro 23,26).
